Alex Pokusai Art

Hi! I'm Alexander Pokusai, a self-taught illustrator currently living and creating in the vibrant city of Wrocław, Poland. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. My father was an artist and my first mentor — he showed me how a simple line can tell a story. Since then, drawing has become a part of who I am.
Although I graduated in IT, it took me just one month in a tech job to realize that my real passion wasn’t in code — it was in lines, shapes, and shadows. So I made a choice: art over algorithms.

As a freelancer, I’ve done a bit of everything — game graphics, logos, branding, even airbrushed cars. Eventually, I discovered microstock platforms like Adobe Stock and Shutterstock, and fell in love with the idea that my illustrations could travel the world.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been creating and selling illustrations online. At one point, I even made it into the top 200 bestselling illustrators on Adobe Stock worldwide — not bad for someone who used to draw dragons on school notebooks.

My favorite style is black-and-white minimalism, inspired by the timeless beauty of vintage engravings. I’m fascinated by how much you can say with just two colors — light, depth, texture, even mood.
With the rise of AI, I welcomed the tech into my workflow. My illustrations now begin as a blend of human imagination and machine assistance: I create the concept, use AI tools to generate a base, then refine everything by hand. I work with paper and fineliners, a graphic tablet, and Procreate on the iPad — whatever it takes to bring the idea to life.

My illustrations aren’t just images — they’re a mood, a vibe, and a little bit of magic.
If you’re looking for something truly unique for your home or office — let’s create something extraordinary together.
